Hey Femme Gems!
As it turns out, Femme Fatale Media has been growing like crazy – thanks to all of you! To keep up with everything, we now have a new addition to our Femmepire. She’s been on the roster for three years and has recently finished her degree in marketing. Her name is Krista, and she’s our newest account coordinator. We decided to sit down with Krista and ask her a few questions so you could learn more about her.
For how long have you been a promotional model?
My first promotional job was actually with Femme Fatale Media when I joined the roster back in early 2015. I was living in Niagara Falls at the time, and I had a friend who was on the roster, but I didn’t think I had a chance at it. I decided to just go for it, and applied, and when I received the email saying I was accepted – I was ecstatic.
Do you have other hobbies?
Yes! I began dancing when I was around 4 years old – before I started modeling. I went to school for Commercial Dance at George Brown College, and completed my certificate. Now, I’m training with an all-female hip hop/heels company in downtown Toronto!
Why did you choose Femme Fatale Media as a career choice?
Ever since I joined in 2015, I knew I wanted to be in head office. I never had the opportunity to apply since I was in school full-time. I decided to be patient, finish my marketing degree, and then apply. Every time I worked an event, I never wanted it to end – so as soon as I was in my final week of exams, I sent Emily an email (and started praying – haha!). They say, after all, if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.
What do you love most about working for the company?
I’ve never worked for any organization that has had more passionate, kindhearted, and outgoing staff! Emily truly cares for each and every model on her roster. You will never have an awful experience with Femme Fatale! It’s just not in their nature. It’s truly an exceptional company.
Best advice to give to a new promotional model?
Work for it! My biggest advice it to stay committed, loyal, and work hard. There are plenty of girls and guys with the looks and personality, which is amazing, but you need to stand out. So apply for as many jobs as you can, be on time for those jobs, and be kind to everyone you meet. Don’t be discouraged if you’re not selected for an event, or take it personally. Keep being yourself and working hard, because eventually it’ll pay off!
